Cut, stitched and finished in Sialkot

Every Tanvo piece is made in our own workshop in Sialkot, Pakistan. This is how a jacket moves through it, from hide to carton.

Eight stations

The making of a jacket

  1. Hide selection Each hide is checked for grain, thickness and marks, and hides are matched by colour for each order.
  2. Pattern and cutting Patterns are graded for every size, and panels are cut so the best grain falls on the fronts and sleeves.
  3. Preparation Edges are skived thin, panels are reinforced where needed, and pockets and zips are prepared before assembly.
  4. Stitching Panels are joined on leather sewing machines with heavy-duty thread and a stitch length matched to the leather.
  5. Lining and hardware Linings, zips, snaps and buckles go in, followed by your labels on private label orders.
  6. Finishing Jackets are cleaned, conditioned and pressed, and loose threads are trimmed by hand.
  7. Quality check Each piece is measured against the size chart and checked for stitching, hardware and leather marks.
  8. Packing Pieces are folded or hung in garment bags and packed in cartons marked with style, colour, size and quantity.
